Matawan
Matawan is a Monmouth County borough in New Jersey with a population of around 9,000. It was formed at the end of the 1800s from land that is now Aberdeen Township.
The borough is one of nine towns that participated in the Bayshore
Regional Strategic Plan, which was initiated to rejuvenate the economy
in the area. The Plan advocates the idea of the traditional downtown
area, local neighborhoods, and its rich maritime history.
