Marlboro
Marlboro Township in the north end of New Jersey is one of the fastest-growing areas of the United States—in fact, the population has increased about 3,000 between the 2000 and 2005 census reports. This makes Marlboro one of America’s most popular home sites. Money magazine and CNN both named Marlboro Township one of the top ten safest places to live, and is definitely in the running for one of the best places to live in the U.S.
Marlboro Recreation and Entertainment
As in most areas of coastal New Jersey, Marlboro residents
can take advantage of the water sports offered. If you are in the mood
for water skiing, swimming, fishing, or just sunbathing, there is
plenty of sand and water for you.
There
are also many nearby golf courses, recreation areas, and hiking and
backpaking in the wilderness preserves. If you’re looking for great
restaurants instead, try the Crown Palace Chinese cuisine. Their specialty, besides great food, is a peaceful atmosphere.
If
you’re in the mood for some music, try one of the many small clubs in
the area that features live music. The east coast is known for its
appreciation of all musical styles and tastes, so you will find
anything you want to listen to in Marlboro. If you want a little more
culture, there are local concert halls both in the Marlboro area and in
the large cities of New York and Philadelphia.
Art museums are very popular as well in the cities as well as close by. In fact, don’t miss the Matawan Art Gallery—it’s one of the more popular galleries around. Monmouth Art Museum
in Lincroft is also another art lover’s hotspot. If you like history
museums, the Marlboro area has quite a few of this as well, focusing on
area history as well as maritime specialties.
Want to go way back in your history lesson? Then go to Big Brook Park.
There you will find a prehistory museum, where there are displays where
you can learn about the area Late Cretaceous deposits and fossils
(especially sharks).
Marlboro Real Estate
This area of New Jersey is experiencing a real estate boom, and the Marlboro area
is now exception. Prices are expected to continue to rise, so if you’re
thinking of relocating to Marlboro, now is the time. Home prices are
currently between $300K up to $4M plus, and there is a lot of
opportunity for upscale and exclusive living.
Like much of the areas surrounding it, Marlboro is a family-friendly
community with quiet neighborhoods. Although it’s close to
entertainment, there isn’t the normal hustle and bustle you would
expect in most places in Marlboro. With all the amenities the north and
central New Jersey area offers, as well as the close proximity to large cities, you can’t do much better than a Marlboro home.
Because the areas and houses are more upscale than many of the other places in this part of New Jersey,
you would be well served to find a professional Marlboro realtor who
knows these neighborhoods well. Choose someone with a lot of experience
and who has worked with those in your price range. Then start packing!
